The folks in Greenfield, Indiana are downright friendly. From advice on beverage hops content to remarks from a nice cleaning lady (her brother lives in Foxboro), the red state seems more moderate than the "Birthplace of the John Birch Society" road signs might indicate.
Of course, the JBS is probably considered leftist by many contemporary Republicans.

Familiar name
Hit I-35 to Kansas City yesterday. Back on the Interstate system again. Spent the night in Higginsville, MO. The name sounds familiar.

Psychopathy and Liberal Kansas
After a lively second day at my friends' place in Los Alamos, discussing HTML5 DRM, Stendahl, and psychopathy, I reverted to my slouch towards Bethlehem to be bored. What better place to spend the night than Liberal, Kansas?
